Minelab SD2200 tips, settings, questions
I used a 2200d (green box) and it was a good thing for finding deep targets. Manual ground balance is a pain and ground noise masks lots of small signals. Double-D coils work well on them and I also did well with a coiltek 10x5 mono on it.

Minelab has always had a VLF detector under $1,000, then the SD series that ranged from $1,500 - $2,000 and then the high end detector that would range from $3,500 - $4,500. Hi all, Matt, I have used a 2200 with a Link 7.2 battery system. The extra voltage really smoothed the threshold out and was a great lightweight addidtion to the detector. Can someone explain to me what the differences are between the Minelab
An SD 2200 or a 2100 will do just fine. You will not be chasing .2grammers from what you have written. An Infinium will do just fine as well, it's quieter and more versatile, it's just not as sensitive as a Minelab PI but that won't matter because you're chasing larger targets (if I'm not mistaken).
